Visual Campaign Support

Romina Garber's The Last Vampire had a built-in challenge: vampire fiction is a crowded, visually-saturated genre where readers make split-second decisions based on cover imagery, tone signals, and genre cues. Generic campaign visuals that don't immediately communicate the book's specific flavor, whether it's dark paranormal romance, YA urban fantasy, or adult horror, get scrolled past before the headline is even read.

I created custom visual mockups tailored specifically for targeted ad campaigns, designed to solve the core problem of audience precision. Each mockup strategically aligned imagery (moody atmospheric elements vs. romantic tension vs. action-forward energy), tone (brooding and mysterious vs. passionate and dangerous), and genre cues (supernatural romance signals vs. horror thriller aesthetics) to speak directly to the specific reader segment being targeted.

This wasn't just "making it pretty" it was visual strategy. Different reader segments within vampire fiction respond to completely different aesthetic triggers. A reader hunting for dark romantasy needs different visual language than someone searching for vampire horror or YA paranormal adventure. The mockups I created allowed for A/B testing across campaigns, ensuring each ad variant communicated exactly what that specific audience wanted to see before they even read the copy.

The impact? Campaign relevance scores improved because the visuals matched reader expectations for their specific subgenre interest. Click-through rates increased because the imagery pre-qualified the audience, readers who clicked already knew this was their kind of vampire story. Ad spend became more efficient because we weren't wasting impressions on vampire readers looking for something tonally different.

Visual mockups aren't decoration, they're strategic communication tools that determine whether your ad gets a scroll or a click in the 0.3 seconds readers give you to catch their attention.
